Our History
Catholic Charities of Los Angeles- Ventura County Region was established in 1926 at the San Buena Ventura Mission, nearly 100 years ago, to help combat the poverty of families affected by the Great Depression. Over the years our service programs have evolved to support the diverse and changing needs of our clients. Though one thing has remained the same, our commitment to spreading Christ's merciful love throughout the county. Today, we offer a multitude of services across the county from 5 different locations, and we continue to serve those most in need with love and compassion.
Our Mission
Catholic Charities of Ventura County helps our poor and vulnerable brothers and sisters restore their human dignity by offering compassionate assistance with life's daily needs. All our services are offered regardless of religious affiliation, nationality, color, or creed.
